The artist was born in the coal mining region of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Drawn to self-expression, via sketching, from an early age, he attended the York Academy of Arts where he studied commercial art. His philosophy "Beauty is it's own reason for being!"

ABOUT Rick Chris

The artist, currently living in the western United States, received his fine-art training at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and later expanded his education to include technical illustrations, airbrush, commercial and graphic art, as well as computer expertise. Employed as an illustrator in the corporate world for the majority of his professional life, he began in the early 2000's to more and more cater his work toward a genuinely receptive gay community.
